Injections
Many chronic conditions can be managed well with injection treatments. Some of our providers utilize either x-rays (fluoroscopy) or ultrasounds for precision injection placement.
We utilize the following treatments:

Manual Medicine
We are fortunate that we have providers on staff that can skillfully perform OMT or OMM Manual Medicine techniques to relieve pain and improve function.
-
Medications
When medications are indicated to reduce inflammation or alleviate pain our providers can send a prescription right downstairs to MSU Health Care Pharmacy on the first floor of our building to easily grab your medication on your way out the door.
Our practice is one of the only medical centers in the United States to offer a non-opioid alternative to postoperative pain -
Orthopedic Surgery
From time to time, injuries do not respond to non-operative interventions, or are too significant; the best option is to move forward with surgery. Our fellowship-trained sports surgeons operate primarily at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital or Sparrow Main Hospital. We schedule these surgeries in a convenient or expedited fashion to get you back to what you love as soon as possible.
While we are happy to see and help all community members, we at MSUHC Sports Medicine specialize on athletes or those who have sustained injuries from an active lifestyle.
With the latest fellowship training at premier institutions, our surgeons offer novel techniques and cutting-edge care including:- Adolescent scoliosis screening, management, and surgery

- Degenerative spine disorders
- Hip arthroscopy
- Meniscal and cartilage repair and/or transplants

Physical & Occupational Therapy
We approach injuries using a conservative approach, and often many injuries do not require surgery. A referral for formal Physical or Occupational Therapy is often the best treatment. While we work closely with all area therapist to provide convenient care with close communication, our own MSU Health Care Physical & Occupational Therapy is right across the hall making it convenient for our patients. The proximity also enables frequent and regular conversations about our mutual patients. This collaboration enhances your care.
